✨ I’m very proud of this project with the Kinder-Reha in Affoltern am Albis / Kinderspital Zurich ✨
After previous collaborations (see: https://www.dkore.ch/post/the-hospital-room-upgrade), this one feels especially meaningful — not only because of the beautiful outcome and the unique character of the yurt, but also for its purpose: supporting children and their families 🤍
🌿 A space to breathe, pause, and recharge 🌿
We designed this yurt as a calming retreat for parents visiting their children. From the outside, it’s simple — step inside, and it becomes a warm, cozy sanctuary ✨
Natural materials, soft textures, and a soothing palette, combined with touches of greenery 🌱, create a space that feels grounded, peaceful, and restorative.

Dkore delivered the design only together with the items shopping list - while the Kinder-Reha with their operation team went ahead to buy and install the furniture with some final positioning / Dkore help - perfect team work!
Since the conception time was short, we went with basic layout designs and inspirations (see images below), and refined things on the fly when selecting the furniture and once the Yurt arrived. Flexibility is king in such situations:-)
